How often is my website backed up?
Backups run on a regular schedule, with the frequency matched to how often your site changes. A site with daily orders needs more frequent backups than a brochure site. Just as important, we verify that backups can actually be restored, which is the step most often skipped elsewhere.
What happens if my site goes down?
Uptime monitoring alerts us to availability problems, often before you notice. We investigate, restore service and tell you what happened. Where the cause is outside our control, such as an upstream provider outage, we will say so plainly.
Do you handle updates, or do I?
We do. Core, theme and plugin updates are applied as part of the service. Updates are the single most common reason sites get compromised, so leaving them to whenever someone remembers is a genuine risk.
Can you host a site you did not build?
Yes. We review the site first to check for existing problems and tell you what we find before migrating. If the site has issues we cannot responsibly support as-is, we will explain what needs fixing rather than quietly taking it on.
Will moving hosts affect my search rankings?
A properly executed migration should not. We preserve URLs, set up redirects where anything changes, and keep downtime to a minimum. Rankings can wobble briefly around a move and normally settle within a short period.
What is not included?
Maintenance covers keeping the existing site healthy. New pages, redesigns, new functionality and larger content projects are quoted separately, so you are not paying a retainer that quietly absorbs project work.
